Discover a premium black tea: our Kaimosi tea from the heart of Kenya. This exquisite harvest represents the best the region's tea gardens have to offer, boasting exceptional leaf quality and a distinctive character.

Origin

This tea comes directly from the Kaimosi region in western Kenya. Nestled in the fertile highlands, the mineral-rich soils and ideal climate—a combination of tropical sun and cool nights—provide the perfect conditions for growing world-class teas. The high altitude ensures slower growth of the tea plant, resulting in more complex and intense flavors. Every sip of this tea is a reflection of its pure, uncontaminated origins.

Quality

The leaf quality TGFOP1 ( Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe Grade One ) is a clear seal of quality and represents the highest level of orthodox tea production. This designation guarantees a tea made from carefully processed, whole leaves with a particularly high proportion of fine, golden leaf buds (“Golden Tips”). These buds are evidence of a select picking, give the tea its floral aroma and ensure its finesse of taste. The addition “Grade One” also confirms that it is the finest sorting within this top category, which makes the tea an exceptional pleasure both visually and in terms of taste.

Flavor profile

This Kaimosi tea unfolds a bright copper-red color in the cup. Its flavor is full-bodied and balanced, with the vibrant freshness typical of Kenya. What makes this batch special is its delicate, light citrus note , which elegantly complements the robust body and provides a refreshing, stimulating drinking experience.

Preparation recommendation

For perfect enjoyment, we recommend the following preparation:

  • Dosage: 12 g of tea per liter of water (approx. 2-3 g / 250 ml cup)

  • Water temperature: 100°C (boiling water)

  • Brewing time: 2–4 minutes

With a 2-minute brewing time, the tea develops its stimulating effect, and the citrus notes become more pronounced. With a 4-minute brew, the infusion becomes stronger and fuller-bodied.

Treat yourself to a piece of Kenyan tea culture at the highest level.
